About Us
We are Thunder Things Automotive Group, also frequently called Thunder Things or TTAG. We are an ambitious, innovative, high-tech, luxury Canadian automotive company, founded in 2015, Waterloo, Ontario, Canada.
The Mission
It is nearly two decades into the 21st century, yet there are two problems that have not been resolved: still too many fossil fuel-powered vehicles, and no native Canadian automotive industry. The latter is particularly sad; disturbing and perplexing if being entirely honest. There are so many bright, talented minds in Canada. But, nobody has bothered to step up to the challenge and create something from the ground up in this country. We are finally changing this. Canadians will no longer have to wonder about their identity in the automotive scene. Canadians will have something to proud of. Vehicles that will be able haul, tow, and handle the varying climate and landscape of Canada with ease. Vehicles that will run on nothing, but pure electricity and Canadian pride.
The Name
Most automotive manufacturers are named after their founders, or someone with significance to the company. Sometimes even an animal, plant, element or other physical subject. We went down the elements of nature route. From there, we naturally decided to go with a thunder theme. After brainstorming some combinations, we finally came down to Thunder Things. Not only does it suit the business perfectly, but can either come off as a little humorous or ominous, depending on how you see it.

Thunder Things Vehicles
In our lineup, we have the body-on-frame pickup truck and SUV, then a crossover to followup 2-3 years after their launch. Whichever of the three you have your desires set on, you will not be let down by their uncompromising utility, features and technology.
Thunder Things River Rider $120,000
6000mm long, 2200mm wide, 260mm of ground clearance, a 200kWh battery pack, and a 400 litre front trunk, the Thunder Things River Rider (TTRR) is a commodious, high-riding, province-crossing, territory-trekking, all-electric, full-sized pickup truck. You would expect such a behemoth to be a heavy, unwieldy cage on wheels, but it is not. The River Rider’s all-aluminum build has resulted in a drastically reduced weight. The large battery pack at the bottom of the chassis, not only allows for fantastic range, but also results in a low center of gravity to significantly reduce rollover risks. And the interior? Premium synthetic leather, a telescopic steering wheel, and optional bench seats for front and rear are some of your many options.
TT Lightning Crew $135,000
The Thunder Things Lightning Crew (TTLC) is a River Rider without a truck bed. In place of a bed, it has a closed cargo area and third row of seats. This means that you get most of the same utility found on its pickup truck sibling. As with every three-row SUV based off of a truck sibling, this does result in slightly lower towing and payload capacity, as well as range. The advantages gained are seating for 9, and a permanently enclosed cargo area that is accessed by a hatch, or from simply folding down the third row. Choose the Lightning Crew over the River Rider if you prefer SUV styling or prioritize seating. Regardless of the two you choose, you will have the world’s most powerful, full-sized, electric passenger truck under your possession.
TT Water World $50,000
The Thunder Things Water World (TTWW) will be our more affordable, mass volume product 2-3 years after the launch of our truck duo. It is a mid-sized crossover, but certainly not a boring one. It can accelerate from 0-100km in 2.8 seconds! This is thanks to its aluminum body and all-electric, all-wheel drive system that allows the vehicle to sprint like lightning when you command it to. Similarly to its truck siblings, it sits high (230mm) to give you a good view of the road, features premium-grade synthetic leather, and has the option for front bench seats, to allow you to seat up to six people.
